FoDT's Scholarship Campaign
We’re raising money to endow two of DramaTech’s scholarships. Currently, the Dull and Abbott scholarships are not fully funded and will eventually run out. Once an account reaches a balance of at least $25,000, it can be converted to an endowment that generates a $1000 award every year.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the DramaTech scholarships?
Three scholarships of $1000 each are awarded to deserving DramaTech members at the end of every school year. The scholarships are named in memory of Gay Dull, Dave Clark, and Greg Abbott.

How much money do we need to raise?
As of April 2020 and accounting for this year’s scholarship awards, we need to raise approximately $41,500: $23,500 for the Dull Scholarship, and approximately $18,000 for the Abbott Scholarship (we’re still working with the Georgia Tech Foundation to establish the exact amount).
A generous alumni donor has approached the board with a dollar-for-dollar match for all donations made to the scholarships up to $20,000.
How do I contribute money to the scholarship accounts?
See our instructions located here
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes, FODT’s accounts are managed by the Georgia Tech Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
FoDT’s members ranked funding the scholarships as a high priority for the Board and a number of alumni have inquired about how to donate. We wanted to make instructions on how to direct donations to the right accounts available as soon as possible.
We recognize that COVID-19 has caused a great deal of uncertainty, and that right now might not be the right time for some alumni to give. For those alumni who are able to give now, the need to secure this financial support to DramaTech members has never been greater.
